FAQs

Your flowers are carefully dried and preserved in resin to create timeless keepsakes that can be treasured for years. Below are some frequently asked questions about the preservation process and sending your flowers safely.

  • where are you based?

I’m based in Southampton (SO50), UK and only preserve flowers from the UK & Northern Ireland.

  • can i drop off flowers?

If you live nearby, you’re welcome toĀ drop your flowers off in personĀ and collect your finished preservation when it's ready. Please note, IĀ do not offer collection servicesĀ for flowers, and I’m unable to drop off finished preservations.

  • can i send fresh flowers?

Yes! It’s important that flowers are sent as soon as possible to ensure they arrive in the best condition. Full details on how and where to send them will be included in your order confirmation email.

  • how do i keep my flowers fresh before sending them?

Keep your flowers in fresh water and away from direct sunlight until you’re ready to post. Refresh the water every 12 hours and trim your stems 1-2cm each time. Trimming your stems can help prevent the stems from being blocked and still able to take in fresh water.

  • i’m getting married abroad, can i still have my flowers preserved?

If you're getting married abroad, please be aware that wedding flowers being brought back into the UK may require a certificate to confirm they are free from pests and diseases. If you're able to obtain the necessary paperwork, I'd be more than happy to preserve your flowers for you.

  • how many flowers should i send?

Every bouquet is completely unique, and the amount I recommend depends on the keepsakes you’d like preserved. Read more here.

  • how do i pack my flowers?

Wrap your stems in damp kitchen roll and then tightly wrap tinfoil to keep them secure. Place them in a sturdy box that is big enough so your flowers don’t get squished, but small enough so they don’t move around during transit. Fill any empty space with packing paper or kitchen roll. Please avoid bubble wrap or plastic wrapping as this can cause your flowers to sweat. Include your name somewhere in or on the box so I know your flowers belong to you.

  • how do you preserve flowers?

I work with dried flowers, as preserving them while they’re still fresh can lead to moulding and colour loss in the resin. Once dried, the flowers are carefully encased in resin, a strong and durable material, creating a keepsake that will last for years while maintaining the beauty of your flowers.

  • how long does the process take?

I aim to send out your flowers within approximately 2 months of receiving them. Some flowers dry more quickly, while others take a little longer. Timelines can also vary depending on the number of other preservations I’m working on at the same time. Once your preservation is ready, I’ll contact you to confirm it’s okay to send it, ensuring it arrives safely and exactly as you’d like.

  • what courier and service do you send my preservation home with?

If you are based in England, Wales, or Scotland, your preservation will be shipped with Royal Mail using their Tracked 48 service. They recon 2-3 business days for delivery. If you are based in Northern Ireland, your preservation will be shipped with Yodel.

  • how do i look after my preservation?

To keep your resin pieces looking their best, simply wipe them clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid anything abrasive that could scratch the surface, and steer clear of harsh chemicals, as these can damage the resin’s top coat.
