my favourite flowers to preserve: a behind-the-scenes look
When you work with wedding flowers day in and day out, you develop a real appreciation for how different flowers react to preservation. This blog is just for fun so you can get to know a little bit more about me and my personal favourites to work with!
In no particular order, here are a few flowers that hold a special place in my studio:
Ā
Peonies
Peonies are huge flowers, but they are so beautiful when they dry. Because of their lush, full shape, they preserve so nicely in bigger block reservations, making a true statement piece for any home.
Ā
Ranunculus
Ranunculus are easily one of my absolute favourite flowers. They look stunning in tree decorations because you can see each individual petal, and there are usually so many of them packed into a single flower!
Ā
Stock and Snapdragons
Stock and Snapdragons are gorgeous accent flowers that come in so many different colours. They look lovely in frames and keyrings, and you can really appreciate the detail of each individual petal on the stock too.
Ā
Roses and Spray Roses
Roses are very traditional, looking stunning and so beautiful all on their own. Meanwhile, spray roses are dainty and look lovely either on their own or clustered together in a smaller keepsake.
I've worked with so many flowers over the years, and these are just a few of my personal favourites. No matter what you choose for your big day, I will preserve any and all flowers that I receive to make sure your memories last forever!
