how to care for your wedding preservation

Your custom resin preservation has made its way to its forever home - yay! You’ve waited patiently for your flowers to be dried, poured, sanded, and perfected, and now you want to make sure your piece stays as bright and beautiful as the day it arrived.

While resin is remarkably durable, it does need a little TLC to keep that crystal-clear finish. Here is everything you need to know about caring for your resin keepsake!

Ā

Gentle Cleaning Only

To keep your preservation crystal-clear and scratch-free, dust it regularly with a clean, soft microfibre cloth.

Avoid chemical cleaners: Please do not use glass sprays, polish, alcohol, or harsh household cleaning products on your piece. These chemicals can strip the top coat, dull the shine, or even scratch the surface.

Need a deeper clean? If your piece gets a smudge or fingerprint, simply use a slightly damp cloth (plain water works best!) and gently wipe it down, followed by a dry microfibre buff.

Ā

Keep Out of Direct Sunlight

As tempting as it is to place your new piece right on a sunlit windowsill where the light catches it, direct sunlight is resin’s main enemy!

Prevent flower fading: UV rays from the sun will cause natural dried flower petals to lose their vibrant colour over time.

Avoid overheating: Direct sunlight can heat up the resin. Resin and high temperatures really don't mix - heat can cause the resin to soften, distort, or yellow.

Ā

Keep It Indoors & Cool

Your preservation is designed strictly as an indoor keepsake.

Find a cool spot: Place your piece in a well-ventilated, temperate room.

Avoid heat sources: Keep it away from radiators, fireplaces, sunny conservatories, or spots right next to warm electronics. Standard room temperature is perfect!

Bonus Tips for Extra Longevity

Handle with Love: Resin is strong, but a drop onto hard flooring (like tile or hardwood) can chip or crack the edges of blocks and frames.

Flat, Secure Surfaces: Always display your blocks on a flat, stable shelf where pets or little hands won't accidentally knock them over.

A Forever Keepsake

Your preservation was created with so much love, and with just a little mindful care, it will stay clear, gorgeous, and vibrant for a lifetime.
